How to disable the lobby on a Microsoft Teams meeting.

Approving participants waiting on a Microsoft Teams meeting lobby is not difficult but it can be a tedious task if you have a lot of people joining at different times.

The option to disable the lobby is available in the meeting options and you can access to it from 2 different places.

If you want to disable the lobby before starting the meeting do the following:

  1. Open the calendar on Microsoft Teams
  2. Locate the meeting you want to disable the Lobby and click on it
  3. From the meeting details click on Meeting options as highlighted in the following image

  1. The meeting option will open in the browser, from the option Who can bypass the lobby? select Everyone
  2. Click on Save

If you forgot to disable the lobby and are getting distracted by the approvals you can also disable it from the meeting context by doing the following:

  1. During the meeting click on the to open the them meeting menu
  2. Form the menu click on Meeting Options

  1. The meeting options menu will open in the meeting context on the side, from the option Who can bypass the lobby? select Everyone
  2. Click on Save
